We had a little birthday party for Nora on Sunday afternoon with chocolate cake (Nora had frosted cornbread on Blake’s orders), adorable gifts (thank you, everyone!), and a little clip show of Nora’s first year of movies set to one of her favorite songs.

Blake and I took Nora to Creekside Park in hopes of letting her swing. Unfortunately, I forgot there are no swings at Creekside Park. We had a good time in the blinding sun anyway.

It turns out you can’t actually buy peaches at Peach Days, and you’ll have to change your daughter’s diaper on the ground by the row of trash cans, but at least Nora is cute. That makes a lot of things better, come to think of it.
