I can’t embed this video, but if you click on the link you can see Nora and a neighborhood friend dancing away to Party Rock Anthem on the XBOX Kinect. My favorite part is the side-stepping.
Chopped
After a few years of wanting to be a princess with long, flowing hair, Nora had had enough of brushing and decided to go back to a short haircut. She wanted to get a bowl cut like Alex‘s, but I talked her into a still-short but girlier bob just in time.
But…have you seen my mug?
Hazel just really, really loves my mug.
Zoo Lights
We wanted to go to Zoo Lights with Sarah before she moved, so to Zoo Lights we went–coldest night of the year be damned! Valori met us for a little of what she does best–Hazel wrangling. Luckily the temperature only added to Nora’s natural ferocity.
sisters
Nora has been the best big sister from the very beginning.
Belly Roll
She’s just really serious about her fun.
Five Little Pumpkins
Alex and Nora perform Five Little Pumpkins (with only a few distractions).
Bats Eat Bugs
Nora and her preschool class sing one of their Halloween songs:
Bats eat bugs, they don’t eat people
Bats eat bugs, they don’t fly in your hair
Bats eat bugs, they don’t eat people
That’s why they’re flying up there!
WordGirl (and friends)
I’m sure I’ll be back to add a ton more photos eventually (and maybe some costume-making details), but I wanted to show our family’s WordGirl costumes, made for Jillian’s final costume party, Superheroes and Villains. We wore ours again for Halloween, too. Would you let a giant sandwich head go to waste?
Clockwise from Nora in the front, we have:
Nora – WordGirl
Sarah – Dr. Two-Brains
Blake – The Butcher
Lisa – Chuck the Evil Sandwich-Making Guy
Hazel – Captain Huggy Face
Jeff – The Amazing Rope Guy
It’s a strange magic
Hazel almost met Kaeleigh, but…then she didn’t. See?
