After a bit of a rocky start, Nora loves her swimming lessons with Grace at Westminster. The pool is freezing, but she has such a great time anyway.

Our little blueberry-sized baby is getting hands and feet!
The Scariest Mummy
This Halloween was mostly about scaring for Nora. And even though I was disappointed at first that she wouldn’t wear her mummy hat, I think tying a few “bandage” strips around her head with a bow added just the right amount of cuteness to her homemade mummy costume.
This costume was easy to make, but not at ALL easy to get on and off. Turns out, even if you start out with a stretchy base, sewing on a bunch of woven fabric strips makes it not stretchy. At least it looks cool, right?

It’s a pretty big step up from a sesame seed to a lentil bean!
Nora: “One, two, three! Why are there three people in our family?”
Me: “How many do you think we should have?”
Nora: “I think we should have four.”
The story’s cuter if I just stop there, but…
Me: “Four? Would you like to have a new baby in our family?”
Nora: “Nope. We should get a grown-up lady.”
Me: “You mean like Aunt Sarah? Should she be in our family?”
Nora: “No. A different lady. Another mommy!”
So, that’s going to be tricky to explain to the bishop.
Preschool Class Photos
I will probably never have studio-quality class photos that I love and am proud to give as gifts ever again, so forgive me for relishing the moment.
And here is the rest of Nora’s class, and another serious but sweet pose. I attribute a small part of the success of these photos to the fact that I was a co-op parent on picture day, and not only could I tweak Nora’s hair and clothes at the last minute, but the other mom and I did a lot of crazy dancing to get the kids to smile during the group shot.
Preschool Emergency Photo
Blake’s responsibility at CCNS this year has been as a rep on the Safety Committee, and I just found this photo of Nora among the ones he had to take of each student in the class, so they could be identified in an emergency. I love this kid.
Now that I look at her outfit, I think these were actually taken on the same day that the class photos were done. Trivia!
