At the end of each dance class, all the kids line up and dance off one by one under the different-colored stage lights. Do you know what a huge feat it is to get nine two-year-olds to stay in a single file line? BRAVA, Miss Tad.

Ben Folds
While David was visiting from New York, we went to the Ben Folds/Utah Symphony concert at Deer Valley. Nora mostly ignored what was going on onstage in favor of Sarah’s electronic devices.
Lesson Learned
Nora looks all peaceful, doesn’t she? Out in nature, enjoying the rocks in this shady little canyon near Spring City? Little did we know that in mere moments our decision not to go to the bathroom before leaving home would have near-disastrous consequences.
David-Palooza
When David came to visit, we spent the entire Wednesday playing. We went to the zoo, then met the working half of the family for lunch at Martine, and then headed up to Snowbird for a tram ride to the top of the Hidden Peak. When we got back down to the Plaza Deck, Nora asked David to go on the Euro Bungy as a special favor to her. What can a good uncle do? He did lots of high jumps and flips to satisfy Nora, and spent the next hour trying not to throw up. What a champion.
Part way through our adventures, David asked, “Is this what it’s like for you EVERY DAY?” Sometimes, my friend. Sometimes.
water balloons
More pictures from throwing water balloons with Jillian and Rylee.
I love the one of the three of them together. I don’t remember what Nora was saying at that moment, but it is provoking the exact same “say WHAT?” expression from both Rylee and Jillian.
reunion prep
tutu cute
My dad is on the board at Virginia Tanner Dance, and he signed Nora up for a parent-tot dance class this summer, which she LOVED. In fact, she’s told me several times that she wants to quit swimming lessons and take more dancing. We’ll have to start saving our pennies. Thank you, Pop-pop!
asleep
Sacked out at naptime with Bedhead and Buster Brown.
Independence Day
Celebrating our country’s independence in the Taylors’ driveway with food, music, sparklers, and ridiculous headgear: hopefully a tradition in the making.
Water Painting
Two paintbrushes, two buckets of water, and a stretch of cement. Swimsuits optional.
