For my birthday, Dawn promised to take me and Nora to see the Festival of Trees and then to lunch afterward. Nora was pretty tired by lunchtime (and teething) and turned up her nose at the food…until she discovered tartar sauce. Tartar sauce, where had you been all her life?

My mom pointed out that Nora finally has enough hair that she can wear little clips and elastics. Now looking like a ragamuffin is purely by choice.
Unfortunately, Nora hates clips. Fortunately, she loves hats. We just tell her they’re hats, and we’re good to go. Should I not have admitted that?
